ANTI-SPAM STATEMENT
Anti Spam Policy and Opt-in-Guidelines
The following guidelines are statement of Internet Projects's current mailing list management practices:
- Permission of new subscribers if fully verified before mailings commence
This is accomplished by means of an email message containing a validation URL, to which the subscriber must reply in order to complete the subscription. A fundamental requirement of all of Internet Projects's lists is for verification of all new subscribers.
- There is a simple method to terminate a subscription
Internet Projects provides a simple method for subscribers to terminate their subscriptions. Every email sent provides clear and effective instructions for unsubscribing from our mailing list. Mailing from our lists promptly once a subscription is terminated.
- There is an alternative method for terminating a subscription
Internet Projects offers contact procedures (e.g., abuse@subscribe.ru) to which messages may be sent for further contact via email for those who wish to terminate their mailing list subscriptions but are unable or unwilling to follow standard automated procedures.
- Undeliverable addresses are removed from future mailings
Internet Projects ensures that the impact of their mailings on the networks and hosts of others is minimized through its process of pruning invalid or undeliverable addresses.
- Mail volume takes recipient systems into account
Internet Projects takes steps to ensure that mailings do not overwhelm less robust or networks. If a mailing list has a great number of addresses within a particular domain, Internet Projects spreads out the mail volume to that host, to avoid congestion.
- >Terms and conditions of address use is fully disclosed
Internet Projects makes adequate disclosures about how subscriber, addresses will be used, including whether or not addresses are subject to sale or trade with other parties. Also, conditions of use are visible and obvious to the potential subscriber.
- Acquired lists are used for their original purpose
If Internet Projects acquires fully verified opt-in lists from outside sources, it examines the terms and conditions under which addresses were originally complied and Internet Projects determines that all recipients have in fact opted-in to the mailing lists it intends to operate.
- The nature and frequency of mailings are fully disclosed
Internet Projects makes adequate disclosures about the nature of their mailing lists, including the subject matter of the lists and anticipated frequency of messages.
- One subscription, one list
Addresses are not added to other Internet Projects lists without fully verified consent of the address owner. It is never assumed that subscribers to a list want to be added to another list. A notification about new mailing list maybe sent to the existing mailing list, but existing subscribers are never subscribed automatically to the new lists.
